Speak

Burning embers fight and flare,
Slowly rising from the air.
Inside the hearth,
Grown too strong,
Now to freedom
The flames doth long.
Bursting forth came the light,
Causing all to lend it sight.
Fire, fire they do shout,
Yet naught is done to put it out.
The flame rears its ferocious head,
Then in a puff of smoke —
Is dead.
