The Dragon of Trinkets

I am the dragon of trinkets,

The great guardian of boxes and rings.

I collect my treasure from near and far,

My treasure of tiny, small things.

I horde baubles and broaches,

jewelry and gems.

I keep statues, smoky stones

and beads without end.

I hold memories and thoughts,

Lost loves, deep secrets.

Each piece has its past,

And a shadow, and story.

I am the dragon of trinkets,

The guardian of both hope and of pain.

I protect my spoils from those who don’t know

That objects are more than their name.
